The Easter weekend is nearly upon us! Whether the holiday is important to you for reasons of faith, or it’s simply a long weekend to spend extra family time, there are plenty of ways to celebrate. Lucky for you, Delta offers an abundance of options to check out!
51st Annual Easter Egg Hunt
First off on the holiday weekend agenda, the North Delta Lions Club is hosting its 51st annual Easter Egg Hunt for egg hunters aged 1 – 11 years old! This is the perfect place to take the kids and spend quality time with the family. Be sure to bring an Easter basket; the hunt runs rain or shine! Who will find the most eggs?! This event takes place on Easter Sunday at 2:00pm in Sunbury Park!
Easter Egg Hunt and Pancake Breakfast
Another great Easter Egg Hunt is hosted by the Rotary Club of Tsawwassen. Not only does this hunt include chocolate, but it includes a delicious pancake breakfast, along with face painting! Bring some smiles to your child’s face through the event’s balloon artists, bouncy castle, petting zoo, cookie decorating, and – last but not least – the Easter Bunny himself! This event will be taking place from 9:00-12:00 on Saturday at Diefenbaker Park. Come hungry for all the treats and Easter goodies.
Easter Parade in Ladner
Next up, the Easter Bunny will be partnering with the one and only Delta Pipe Band for the annual Easter Parade! The Parade will commence at the Delta Museum. This is a great way to make memories with the kids and get in the Easter spirit. The parade starts at 1:00pm, but arrive early to get a good spot!
Easter Brunch at Pat Quinn’s
After an exciting morning of Easter egg hunting and parading, why not finish the day off with a fantastic brunch at Pat Quinn’s? Pat Quinn’s is hosting a special event just for Easter just for you! “Located in Sunny Tsawwassen, the restaurant overlooks the fairways of Tsawwassen Springs with views towards Vancouver’s North Shore mountains.” The menu will consist of all your breakfast favorites, and is the buffet will go until 3:00pm!
Easter Train in Stanley Park
Last but certainly not least – if you’re up for a drive, check out the Easter Train at Stanley Park! Hosted from April 18th – 22nd, this is a lovely way to welcome spring and the Easter weekend. Ride the Easter train, join in on the Easter egg hunt, and spend some quality time with the Easter Bunny himself!
