With all this gorgeous sunny weather were getting here in British Colombia, it’s time to get outside! There are plenty of fun and affordable things to do with your kids this summer that will make the whole family happy! Keep reading for our list of some of the best things to do with the family this summer. 

Emma Lea Farms

First off is Emma Lea Farms! Head on over to the farm for some family fun while seasonal berry picking. You can pick blackberries, blueberries, and boysenberries! Additionally, you can shop for local produce if you feel like bringing home some other products. This is a fantastic activity to do with your family, and it’s especially amusing for young kids! Also, don’t forget to check out their mouthwatering ice cream stand for a treat at the end of the day. They offer a variety of ice creams, milkshakes, sundaes and smoothies mad from their own berries!

Big Splash Water Park

This is the ideal destination for all water slide park enthusiasts this summer! At this seven acre water park you and your family are bound to find a slide that suits you fancy. Between the tube slides, body slides, kid friendly slides, and even their new boomerang slide, you can’t go wrong! Big Splash Water Park is the perfect way to beat the heat with the whole family. Further, its a guaranteed day full of thrills and adventure!

Sunshine Woods Golf Centre

Up next is the Sunshine Woods Golf Centre. This is a fabulous golf course that offers a 18-hole par 3 course, as well as a full size driving range. Sunshine Woods Golf Centre is an awesome course for you and your family to play at, or even to improve your game! Furthermore, they offer golfing camps and junior programs to get your kids started. Talk about a day of family fun!

South Arm Marshes Wildlife Area

South Arm Marshes Wildlife Area is a must do for families that love animals, as well as activities in the great outdoors! Their purpose is the care and management of critical habitats for fish and other mammals. You can explore the many walking trails, or take out your canoe or kayak and explore the waters of the Fraser River. Moreover, this will provide your kids with a great way to view and learn about our local wildlife!


Diefenbaker Park

Last, but certainly not least, is Diefenbaker Park. This park makes for a great spot for you to lounge in the sun while the kids cool off in the spray park! This is a peaceful and pleasant community park with gorgeous landscaping, including a waterfall and pond. There are also some walking trails surrounding Diefenbaker Park that you and your family can explore!  In addition, continue your day at the park until dinner and bring your portable BBQ for a lovely picnic in the sunshine!
