This spring break, what will you do?

Entertainment Family General Living

Spring break is just around the corner. It’s almost time for two weeks of fun – and Delta offers a ton of cool activities to get busy with! Whether it’s with the kids, with friends, or simply solo, it’s always a good idea to take advantage of the time off. And what better way to welcome the break than with the start of the spring season, which occurs March 20th? This blog post will outline some awesome activities for you to check out.

Tap into your artistic side

For one, this spring break, why not experience something artistic? Gallery 1710 in Tsawwassen is hosting the exhibit Reality to Abstraction. Open Thursdays through Sundays from 11am – 4pm, the public is even given the opportunity to vote for their favourite pieces. This exhibit is a great way to keep your mind active and your energy creative over the break.

Get the kids enrolled in valuable programs

Furthermore, Delta Parks, Recreation & Culture have pooled their efforts in bringing you a variety of programs, activities, and camps; these are a great way to get the kids active and busy during spring break. Camps range from sports and arts development camps, all the way to babysitter training. With an abundance of opportunities, these are a great option to consider!

Get outside

In the nature of the coming season, a great way to welcome spring break is to check out some of Delta’s finest outdoor offerings!

First off, Brunswick Point is a lovely walk situated along the Fraser River. This is the perfect place to watch for local wildlife, experience shoreline views, and admire some awesome farmland.

Another great option is Burns Bog Nature Reserve, which is the largest domed peat bog in the world. Weave your way through incredible forest-life and varying plants!

The best way to celebrate… With food!

Finally, one can never go wrong with delicious cuisine! To finish off a fantastic spring break, take the family out for lunch at The Primerose Mediterranean Restaurant. Conveniently located at the mouth of Tilbury, across from the Chamber of Commerce offices, this Greek cuisine is home cooked by owners Sia and Maria Adjudani. You can also now order in with Skip the Dishes! See their lunch menu here.

Owners Sia & Maria will share family recipes with you at the Primerose Mediterranean Restaurant.

Clearly, there are an abundance of opportunities this spring break… Make sure you take advantage of them, Delta!
